Domestic Cleaners Richmond 2nd September 2013

I recently heard about the strike that is meant to be happening next month in England by the teachers, but a colleague who works with me at the home cleaning service in Richmond told me that there wont be a strike in wales because the government there has tried to respond to the National Union of Teachers there.

Teachers are unhappy that pay is being linked to performance instead of following a set national framework. I read, while in the home cleaning service, that the strike might be the direct fault of Education secretary Michael Gove for refusing to talk with the unions.

The first walkout of the month is meant to be on October 1st and the second on the 17th.
